Font Problem with Win200GR and Office XP

Hi!I'm having a problem with win2000GR and Office or other applications such
as (Illustrator).Neither Office or Illustrator cannot write in Greek.I'm not
talking about the standard fonts that came with win but fonts like
UB,ART,CF.What can I do so i can write with these fonts?Is it an OS problem?

Just a guess: UB,ART,CF is (are?) an old symbol font with greek letters?

Looking in the font folder -- What extension does it have? If it's TTF
(TrueType), you should see it in the fonts dropdown, and be able to use it.
But since Word can have no idea what characters are on what keys, it can't spell
check or hyphenate your text.

Those old fonts usually came with keyboard utilities. And you were only able to
exchange files with others if they had the same font installed.

If you can, chuck those old fonts and use the ones that came with
Office/Windows. Maybe you can find a utility to convert old files to Unicode.

You might ask in the .word.international.features newsgroup if you have more
questions.
