I hope this is the right forum: if I use an unusual font, most reveivers see
it as Times new roman. Do I need to embed it into the page somehow, and if
so how?

2 options-
#1- easiest: Create an image with the desired text in it
#2- WEFT- but this will only work with IE, and it will download. Other
issues would be the use of pay (eg ATM) fonts and that the user may choose
not to install the font
