In Word the Font Size keeps changing to 12, although I always type in 14.
How do I fix the Font Size so that every time I open Word it will be 14?

Set up your normal style to use 14 point type if that's your preference. 'Normal' is the default style in Word for documents. You
can access it through the Style Taskpane.

I have a similar problem.

Not that I want the Normal Style to always be 14 or that I want Word to
start in font size 14 but I am using a multilingual font and I cannot select
any other font size that 12. Even though the font description indicates that
it comes in other font sizes, every time I select something other than 12,
Word reverts to 12.

Any suggestions?

Hi Sid,

What version of Word?

Is this in a new blank document or any document?

Does it happen with only one font?

Does it happen in Print Layout view as well as
in Normal/draft view?

Do you have a printer driver selected in File=>Print
other than 'generic/text'?

Do you have the setting turned on in Tools=>Options=Edit
to '[x] prompt to update style'?

Does it happen with only one font?

I am using at least 3 Hebrew fonts: David, Miriam, Aharoni.
It happens with each of them.

In Normal, Print Layout, and Web Layout

HP Laserjet 5P

In Windows 2000, under Tools -> Options -> Edit, I don't see that option.

In Format->Style->Modify Style, utomatic update is not set.

This not a problem in Wordpad. i.e. the foreign fonts' sizes can be changed.
