I have Microsoft XP Windows and XP Office both are
Professional version. I have a very limited number of
fonts available to me in my programs. I don't know if I
installed them incorrectly or what but I would assume
that there would be a way to alleviate this problem. Can
anyone help? I know that I can download peoples homeade
free fonts but the basic fonts that usually come with
programs are not on mine.

I'm not sure how you know that you've not got all the fonts installed.
Office doesn't come with that many - I'm sure there's a list somewhere, but
I don't have the URL to hand.

Do you have a printer defined/installed? Fonts are a function of the
printer. If you only have a generic printer installed, then you will not
have all of the available fonts.
