When trying to insert a footnote into a table in Word 2008, it starts the automatic numbering at 1 when it should be a later number. Any suggestions? It's really frustrating me.
Thanks for your help.

Make sure the table is formatted as "Inline with text".

If the "Text Wrapping" style is set to anything other than "None", the table
is a "floating" object that is treated as a separate document, in which the
footnotes start at "1".

Hope this helps
