Worked yesterday, doesn't work today....

Database form is not complete when opened on another computer.
Specifically, a Combo Box where user selects the customer. First three
fields are "blank"-- only telephone number appears.

I searched discus. group and did find information on references. I checked,
and references same on both computers- nothing came up "missing".

I did a decompile, and then compact and repair- this did not change anything.

I opened a new database and brought in my tables/forms etc.- still didn't
work.

I did a Windows update-- no change.

Then, did a Windows system restore to previous day and now the fields in the
combo box appear. I don't think this is a permanent solution--- what else
can I do?

Open the form in design view, lick on menu VIEW - Properties. Click on the
combo and scroll drown to ROW source. Open that source - table or query.
See if the data is there.

I suspect the troubled system had the infamous SP3 installed. This problem is
one of the most commonly reported bugs associated with this service pack. If
this is your situation, here's a page by Allen Browne with most of the bugs
and a link to Micro$oft's site where there's a hotfix:

http://allenbrowne.com/bug-Access2003SP3.html

The reason the system restore corrects it is that it uninstalls the SP3
installation, which cause the problem.

From what I read it sounds like that might cause it, but my computer is set
up to receive automatic updates, same as the computer that I was having
issues with. I guess I don't understand why I didn't have any problems with
the form when I opened it on my computer??

Also, would you recommend that we just don't install SP3 until all the bugs
are worked out?

I appreciate your help on this.
