Form handling

Melissa

Hi There -

New to the group. I've been trying to put a form on my website that when
sent allows someone to send a file to me through the website. I've put
the form filed into the form. Once it was published to the server I
tried it out but get this error when I do:

Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions on this page:

I do have FP Server Extensions installed, so I'm very confused as to why
I'm getting this message.

Is there something extra that is needed to make it work?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Melissa,

Contact your ISP / WPP to have them check out the extensions and to make sure you have an email address setup.

You are attempting to use the File Upload feature of the FP SE on a Apache/1.3.33 (Unix) Server
- It requires host that allows it on a Windows Server set per
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;299763&Product=fp2002

Yes I was attempting to use the File Upload feature. However, in looking
at the microsoft page. I do not want to upload the file to my server.
What I want to happen is for them to be able to attach the file to the
form so that when it's sent to me by e-mail, the file is attached to the
response form sent to me. I'm just not quite sure how to go about doing
that. I had thought that, the upload feature would do that but I guess
that's just for uploading files to my server.

It won't work on your Apache/1.3.33 (Unix) Server
- only works on Windows Server
