I have a form and subform arrangement that shows a persons company training
records, when the 'Employee' is selected from a combo box. Everything was
working fine, until a few weeks ago, when the person doing input pointed out
that the publication numbers were decrementing by one, and that the text
boxes associated with combo box selections were no longer working either.
There are around 400 records in the database, and when I look at the
populated table, I do see pub#'s that have decreased by one, and the
publications title is blank, where previously showed up from combobox setup
in properties, then pointed to in textbox using "[SOP title].[column](1)" in
textbox properties.
This is still a relatively small database, with no modules, and macros to
maximize forms for data entry, and a return to Switchboard macro when the
form closes. Are there any known bugs that may be the culprit? The database
is not split, and there is only one user for this form, but I find it odd
that things would break, and also be broken in the backups.
No unusual network admin activity, no work, updates or maint performed
anytime around the time the forms stopped functioning. In fact the
administrator was on vacation at the time. I had received some advice before
to try to decompile, then perform a 'compact and repair', but that did not do
anything. Any ideas?
