Format-Bar Styles

I have a gantt chart that I would like to use for weekly status meeting
progress of my project.

When I go to Format-Bar Styles and when name = progress I can choose text to
place under my bar of "% Complete" or "% Work Complete".

What is the definition of what each of these will provide when used with my
gantt chart?

Hi dsm,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

%Complete relates to the passing of time, or % Duration complete. If you
have a Duration of 10 days for a task that will take 80 man-hours of work
and you are at the end of day 5, then the task is 50%
complete. However, if you have only done 20 man-hours of work, then % Work
Complete is 25%.
