im a landscaper ill like to no how to put together a formal proposal includes
martials labor phase .project time
Ervin,
This isn't really the right newsgroup for this question but I think I
can give you some pointers.
You mention a "formal" proposal. Normally the format and content of a
formal proposal is dictated by the customer. In other words, there are
specific things he wants to see and in a particular form. He may require
line item detail or a just a simple breakout of labor and materials. He
will require an overall schedule, (i.e. total duration and estimated
finish date), but he may also require a detail schedule similar to what
Project produces.
If the proposal is not really formal, then pretty much anything goes. I
personally have seen proposals that range from a couple hand written
lines on a piece of paper signed by the person who is submitting the bid
all the way up to a multi-page legal document with drawings/sketches and
text detail that spells out what the supplier is going to do and what he
is not going to do along with a full breakdown of costs. I suggest you
contact other landscape firms of your caliber and see if they can offer
suggestions. Even though they might be the competition, you might be
surprised at how helpful they can be.
Good luck with your business.
