Formating toolbar

How can I activate the formating toolbar? It appears on
the top of the Outlook edit page but is not active.

1. Ensure your cursor is in the message body.
2. Use Rich Text or HTML - formatting is not possible with Plain Text.

Swen virus, all e-mails sent to my actual account will be deleted w/out

it's only live when you are working in html message format.
