Formatting a long Excel file in Publisher, Please help!

KristalWick

I am trying to insert an Excel file into a Publisher page.
I have tried:
Insert, Object, scroll down to Microsoft Excel, tick create from file.
It does not format the spreadsheet for 2 pages and comes in as one long
object.
Any suggestions on how to format the spreadsheet to go across 2 pages once
it's inserted into Publisher?

Thanks!

Thanks JoAnn.
I've tried this as well. I have an Excel page that fits on one page in
landscape mode in Excel. When I copy and paste it into Publisher, it is much
too large to fit on the page (I have set the page up in Page set up mode to
have .5 margins). When I try to resize the page in Publisher it chops off
text. I tried holding down the shift key and resizing to keep the format and
it did not work.
What am I doing wrong?

I've done that but what I did was to copy and paste one "page" worth of data
in one page and the rest on another. Actually it was four pages worth of
data but it only took a few moments.

Can you not copy/paste part of the file? You can open the Office Clipboard to
make the collection of items easier.

It takes a little tweaking with the Excel spreadsheet size as well as with
Publisher. I was trying to put a yearly budget in a newsletter so I had to
make sure all of my data fit and was very legible.

OK gang,
I FINALLY got it thanks to many of your postings and trying EACH one out!
I thought I'd post the solution here in case others need this info.

Here's what worked:
Copy Excel doc rows.
Paste special into Publisher
Check Past link button
Check Microsoft Excel Worksheet Object llink
OK
Drag corners to desired size
Rotate chart
Save

Thanks!
