I have a manual that has several different tabs i.e., A,B,C..... I am trying to format the page numbers so that they say
"A-1,A-2, A-3 and so on. Can anybody give me the "simple" way of doing this. Have read through the help index, but don't seem to be getting it.

KC,

Put your numbering in a header or footer. Type A- and the enter a page
field {PAGE} using CTRL+F9 to enter the field code brackets.
