Formatting pirctures

I am making memorial folders and would like to fugure out how to make a picture into an oval shape

What version Publisher?
If a newer version, use an autoshape, with the basic shapes, draw your oval, click
fill, click fill effects, picture tab, browse to your image.

Just be well aware that if you put a picture into an AutoShape, the picture
will only have a resolution of 96dpi.

That is a big that still has not been fixed.

It's a limitation of the Autoshape. This is office escher wide.
