Formatting restrictions in word forms

I have a word 2003 form with fields and selected "limit formatting to a
selection of styles" and nominated a range of styles under settings and
selected "filling in forms" under editing restrictions and enfored
protection. However, the styles drop down in the formatting toolbar is
disabled.

So the question is, can you change styles in fields in a form?

I cant find anything in help anywhere to answer this question and Microsoft
Support (the greatest oxymoron of all time) either doesnt know or refuses to
answer.

If the form is locked then many Word functions are disabled - including
styles. The idea is that you format the fields in the manner you wish them
to appear and the users fill in the fields.

Thank you Graham.

So having the option to specify the permitted formatting when it is not
allowed, is really quite deceitful of Word, especially when they keep this
inability such a secret.
