Formatting sub group bar styles

All my sub group bar styles are set to the Project default setting. How can
I change their colour and style by group rather than doing them one by one?

Format, Bar Styles is the way to edit all bars in the Gantt View.

Thank you Rod. The issue I have is that I have a 6 month long project with 3
main areas, each of which has approximately 100 tasks. If I use format, bar
styles it changes the whole Project while I only want to change one of the
areas and its tasks. How do I go about changing a handful of tasks other
than individually? Thank you.

Hi,

Mark the tasks you want to change by putting one of the free Flag fields
(say Flag1) on.
Then in Bar Styles create the bar you need and in Show for... put Flag1 (or,
f.i., Normal;Flag1)
