I have created a form (first time user of this). Everything ok but when I go
to type info. in the shaded area of form the text pushes the shaded area
along instead of overwriting it as I expected. Using MS XP

You have to lock the form.

What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form." It needs to
be protected or locked. Check this in help. For more about online forms,
