Formula query

Hi and I hope someone can help me with this.
To start with I don’t have access to a Sharepoint server, or at least I
don’t think I do!
I’ve built an Infopath form and an Excel report to export it into, however
one thing is stumping me.
I’ve lots of drop downs with similar choices
Yes, No, Unsure
I need some kind of “If†formula equivalent, so if one of these fields
returns a set result it will change a text box result
i.e Yes = Fully Compliant
No = None Compliant
Unsure = Needs Development
The number of fields (50+) would hinder a conditional formatting, and
although I have assigned a number value Yes 0, No -100, Unsure -1000 I’m not
sure how to get the text to automatically populate.
I’m sure it will be obvious but I just can’t see it

Almost every control has a rules function. In that you can set up
different rules for different conditions

I tried this with no success, does the field box need to be a certain kind,
i.e drop down, list, or text box? I put the conditions in and tested it and
nothing happened

Actually ignore that last one, i was getting my fields the wrong way round,
DOH!
Many thanks
