Formula that will specify font used in cell?

I need to find a function/formula that will allow me to quickly see what
font is used in a specific cell either by returning the font name or by
giving me a specific number that I know represents a specific font.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

AFAIK you'll need a UDF:

Public Function Myfont(rng As Range) As String
Myfont = rng.Font.Name
End Function

Call it with:

=myfont(A1)

Note - simply changing the font will not update the
formula.
