Formula using 2 different categories of custom fields

I have project server2003 implemented so I am using enterprise codes.
I have created an enterprise custom RESOURCE cost field called “Bill rateâ€.
((I am using the predefined cost field for “Pay Rateâ€.)) I then created a
custom TASK cost field called “Billed Cost†where I want to take the "Bill
rate" from the custom resource cost and multiply that with the work hours.
My problem is that I can not access the custom Bill rate field from the
custom task cost tab - It does not show up in the list of available fields.
I then tried to “import†a field, thinking that it would import the field
into the Task cost tab and it appeared to do nothing at all. Can anyone help
me on this?

Hi
Try creating Bill rate as enterprise task level field.
It should then work for you.

Brandy,
Go to our MVP website at, http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm, and take
a look at FAQ 51 - Data Types: Task, Resource and Assignment.

Hope this helps.

Thankyou to all! I will take a look at these 2 recommendations. In the
meantime, I also got it to work with using the cost rate table, though a bit
more cluggy than I would have liked!
