FP on XP

R

Rick Duley

I recently upgraded my computer - the new one runs on XP
Home Edition. Being an impoverished student I didn't
change Office - 2000 Premium serves me well and I didn't
want to risk changing templates etc. at this stage of my
thesis.

Now I have a task for Frontpage - not used before - and I
can't get it to run. When I try to create a new web or
new page it refuses point-blank. The rest of Office runs
fine. What have I got wrong in my setup?

Create a folder on your desktop, then in FP, File Menu | Open Web and browse
to this folder, FP will indicate that it is converting the folder to a web,
once that is complete, you can start making your pages.

Notes:

1. Always open a web first (File Menu | Open Web) before working on your web
content.

2. Always import (drag/drop) all images, etc. into you current open FP web
prior to using or linking.

3. Resize and optimize all images in a image editing application, prior to
importing into your current open FP web.
