FP2000 and XP server

We have been working in FP2000 and an XP server with FP
extensions just fine for our intranet for over a year now.
Until about 3 weeks ago. We are now unable to save as
normal. The save time hangs (white cross in red circle)
and we have to End Task for FP to stop. Most of the time
the webpage does get update. Any suggestions would be
appreciated.

Delete the cached (and possibly corrupted) copies of your webs - Close
FrontPage, and do a Find | Files and Folders | Named *.web, and delete them.

OK. Have stupid questions, but I got to ask...
1. Is this with the web site open in Front Page?

2. Is this the cached temp files at each individual users
of FP at their own PCs or on the web server? Will follow
instructions from FP Help regarding "Delete temporary
files." Correct?

3. Not able to find any *.web on the web server but did
find on local PC. Deleted them.

However, we currently can't access the server.
Getting "Server error:web <root web> is busy. Try again."

Any other suggestions. They are most welcomed. Thanks in
advance.

Did this happen after installing XP SP2? If so, check the
Windows Firewall, it may need to be 'loosened'

With the web site closed and FrontPage closed.

This should be doen on the PC you are trying to publish from. Delete
temporary files is not the same as deleted the cached copies of your web
(*.web).
3. Not able to find any *.web on the web server but did

Cool.

However, we currently can't access the server.
