Freeze column for timesheet

C

chan kwok

If we define the time sheet period per month, then we will have difficulty in
input timesheet as the columns for project/task are not freeze. Since we can
suppress the planned work hours to display, can we use style sheet to freeze
the columns? Where can we find the names/ID of the elements of the timesheet?

Anyway, the column are freeze for task update on actual hours. Why two
options work differently

Could somebody help?

There is no way to freeze columns in the My Timesheet page the way you can
do with columns in Microsoft Excel. Because of this, I cannot recommend
that you attempt to capture a full month of time for each timesheet period.
I think you would do better by capturing one week of time per timesheet.
Perhaps someone else will have an alternate opinion for you. Hope this
helps.

Hi Chan,

Like Dale I don’t know any way to freeze the first column. But we had been
able to solve that issue for a customer by implementing “My Timesheet Tamerâ€
of MSProjectExperts. This web part does not freeze the first column either.
But when using “Toggle between full width and custom width†the information
line in the bottom (task name and date) stays visible during horizontal
scrolling, so the necessary information for selected cell is displayed. You
can get a trial version on https://projectdaddy.com/shopexd.asp?id=488.
Perhaps that will also help in your situation?

Regards
Barbara
