Frontpage 98

A friend wants me to create a website using Frontpage 98
(because they have a copy already). I'm wondering if I
should insist on them getting me Frontpage 2003? Surely
you can do more with the updated version? but I am a
novice. What do you think?

You are not going to be able to purchase FP98, unless you can find a copy on eBay.

They will be forced to host it with a hosting company if they want to us any features that require
FrontPage extensions.
The latest extensions for Apache/UNIX servers don't support FP 98.

Personally, I would tell them I can't / won't do it with FP 98.

you'd be so much better off with fp 2003 it's just beyond words!

consider it like comparing the top of the line current cell phone to an old
"bag phone".

IMHO
