If you don't want to overwrite your Normal.dot and you have gone to the
trouble of setting up a specialized document's settings, margins, font, etc.,
it would be nice to be able to set up another document with the same settings
without having to go through all that again. I know you can create a new
document from an existing document that has been saved, much like using a
template, but setup time could be saved by working from the open document.
(Adobe built this functionality into PhotoShop a few versions back, allowing
you to click File/New..., then select an open document to use the settings of
that document as parameters for the new, blank one.)
