Function Keys

Aidan

I am sure I have been shown how to assign phrases to the function keys on a
keyboard. Am I right?

If so how can it be set up?

Thanks

Aidan

This might not be the most efficient way to go about it, but you can save
phrases as AutoText entries and then assign keyboard shortcuts to them
(function keys or any other allowable shortcut keys) using Tools | Customize
| Keyboard. Be aware, however, that there are other ways to insert AutoText
entries, and AutoCorrect entries are even more automatic. See these

Store the phrases as AutoText. See
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/AutoText.htm. You can assign
AutoText entries to a key (including a function key) using
Tools > Customization > Keyboard (button).
