Functions

I'm using Excel X.

1. I almost always use the Function Palette when entering a function since
I'm less likely to make a mistake. The Palette opens in the upper left
corner of the worksheet. Is there a way to have the Palette always open in a
different area of the worksheet?

2. I use the book "Microsoft Excel97 Worksheet Function Reference" as a
reference when using a new or infrequently used function. Is there a later
version of this book (or other books) describing Excel functions? Does
Microsoft (or others) have a website devoted to Excel functions?

Hi Ed,

You could write a macro that displays the function palette in any screen
location you desire, but the default location is not adjustable.

Not much has changed in worksheet functions since XL97, so your book should
suffice. This link has a comprehensive list of Excel books and tips:
