Fuzzy icons in 'Save As' box in Word, but not explorer?

title says it all really - when I bring up a 'save-as' box, for example, in
IE or other application, the icons for Recent documents, Desktop etc are
large and sharp. However, if I bring up the equivalent box in Word or Excel,
the (apparently) same icons are all fuzzy.
Does anyone know why this might be or how to fix it? I'm running at 120dpi -
but seems to me if IE can show the correct icons, Word or Excel should be
able to as well.

Make the settings the same. R-click in the area and select Large Icons.
