gantt chart formating (Urgent)

hi

i would like to change the pattern and colour for some of the gantt bars in
my gantt chart view. i have tried to do it, but it is not working. everytime
i have to select them individually and have to change the pattern and colour.

is there a way that i can select those bars which i want to change at the
same time and then chage their pattern and colour?
