get back function key toolbar and spell-check icon?

Being the idiot I am, I was looking for the spell check icon that disappeared
for some reason and took off the Function Key Toolbar. I'm trying to get back
the Function Key Toolbar and the spell-check icon which seem "lost" for some
reason. (I know it's crazy) Any help would be appreciated!!!

Okay, wait. I...um...found the spell check icon (don't ask) and like am still
looking for the function key toolbar thing.

Click "View" point to "Toolbars" and move the pointer to the missing
toolbar-click to restore the check beside it. It will now display as before.

What version of Word do you have? The function key toolbar was introduced in
Word 2000, I think, and is no longer available in Word 2003.

Okay, well, that's gone in Word 2003. What you might want to do is print up
a table of function key assignments. Find one in "List of the keyboard
shortcuts for Word 2000" at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=211982

It isn't gone, it's just carefully hidden. Open Tools > Customize,
click the Toolbars tab, and check Function Key Display.

<sigh> So why isn't it listed on the toolbar menu?

It isn't gone, it's just carefully hidden. Open Tools > Customize,

Hi,
Under standard toolbar, click view and point to toolbars, see if he standard
toolbaris checked, check reset and this will restore your spell-check icon
back.

Hey The FUNCTION KEY Display in Word 2003 is SO COOL I understand why if it
Disappeared why you'd be bummed Heres how to get it back:
From the TOOLS Menu Choose Customize.
Then Click the Toolbars Tab.
You'll see that the Function Key Display isn't Checked like it was before.
So just get the check mark back in that guy and click close.
