Getting FP to Work in Localhost

R

rdmcconnell

I can't get FP (2000) to work in a local development web
site using XP Pro. Everything looks ok and the daatabase
results code assembles OK, but no records are returned.
Any suggestions? (IIS 6.0)

I'm having the same problems:

http://localhost/test.asp

c:\wwwroot\test.asp

<%
Response.Write "This is a test ASP page."
%>

errors with:
The page cannot be displayed
There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot
be displayed.

Please try the following:

a.. Open the localhost home page, and then look for links to the
information you want.
b.. Click the Refresh button, or try again later.

c.. Click Search to look for information on the Internet.
d.. You can also see a list of related sites.

I'm sure there is a step by step procedure for setting up ASP and testing.

I just can't seem to find it.
Lots of ASP (Not asp.net) pages seem to have lost their links (???)

Thanks,

This doesn't sound like the same problem. However:

Are you sure the file lcoation isn't c:\inetpub\wwwroot\test.asp ?

Are you browsing with http://localhost/test.asp ?

Are you sure the anonymous Web account has at least Read access to
c:\wwwroot\test.asp or c:\inetpub\wwwroot\test.asp or wherever?
