Getting Project to show correct week number

Hi all:

I am having trouble getting Project 2003 to show the correct week
number in the Gantt chart timescale. It appears that Project defines
week 1 as the first week starting after January 1st. However, I am
working with a UK-based company that uses the ISO standard definition,
which defines the week 1 as containing the first Thursday on or after
January 1st. For 2009, these two definitions are not the same, so my
timescale is 1 week late. Using fiscal year only lets me shift the
week number by months, not by weeks. How else can I fix this?

Does Project 2007 fix this?

I fixed it.

Tools->Options->Calendar->Week starts on: Monday seems to force
Project to adhere to the ISO standard (in which the week starts on
Monday). I understand the logic, but what an obscure way to do it!
