I'm pretty sure I've managed to sort similar problems out in the past, but I
can't remember how.
I'm using Outlook 2003 on a Windows XP network, and connected to an Exchange
server.
The system administrators did a reshuffle recently (I think migrating the
Exchange server). Initially after the reshuffle I couldn't see either my
old mail in my personal folders, or my calendar, but I managed to find and
open the relevant old PST files and I can now see both my my personal
folders with old mail, and my calendar.
The problem is that there are a number of different calendars of different
generations from various previous migrations, one under Mailbox - my user
name, which comes up as the default and triggers reminders, but this is an
out of date calendar. The calendar with my current appointments is under
"Personal folders" and I can view it, but if I try to insert or modify an
appointment or set reminders it tells me:
[The reminder for "appointment name" will not appear because the item is not
in your Calendar or Tasks folder. Is this OK?]
This, of course, is not OK for me, and I would be grateful for a reminder as
to how I can get this current calendar information to be my default & allow
reminders?
