Good reference source for Pub2003

Tom

I got Pub2003 with my office upgrade. This is the first time I've used
Publisher and can see some great use for my small business.

Although I'm pretty savvy with other office applications, this one is a little
different. I went to my local Barnes and Noble by couldn't find any reference
for 2003. There is one for 2002.

We're there many important changes between Pub2002 and Pub2003? Does
anyone have a good reference book specific to Pub2003?

Thanks

Tom

You could use a Publisher 2002 book technically. Publisher 2003 added CMYK
Composite Output for Commercial printing, the ability to merge pictures (was
text only before), and research task pane. They also added new templates and
schemes. All other items were essentially improving existing features which
are all in the same menus. Graphics manager, find and replace across entire
story, etc.

Your best resource though, in my opinion, is this newsgroup. Any questions
PLEASE ask.

Thanks

Let me start with the 2 questions I have so far.

1) There are some cautions stated in the online doc about
setting up for adding to email destined output. I think
it had to do with document size, although it wasn't clear
when I read it. I certainly can use some of the
templates but is there a document size reference in the
tool to let me know what sizes to use when targeting
email?

2) While working with one of the templates I started to
change some of the text in one field but found that it
indented the new text to the same location of a text box
directly above. When I moved the updated text box down a
little it seem to "let go" of the connection to the
indent in the other box. When text boxes touch (or
whatever) do they pass on formatting somehow?

Tom

P.S. For all my other questions that I can't find answers
on I'll start new threads.

I think I found the answer to the second question (text
indenting). What appears to be happening is NOT that
there's a link between the two text boxes. Instead,
there's another object next to the text box (an ICON)
that the text is "wrapping around". I know how to fix
that.

Thanks

Tom
