I am using Project Standard 2003 and am trying to see which projects
resources are assigned to (I am using a common resource pool local to my
computer). I have set up a group that is definedlike this:
Group By :: Name :: Resource
Then By :: Project :: Assignment
Then By :: Task Outline Number :: Assignment
When I use this group, however, each resource is shown as being assigned to
dozens of projects. When I look at the project names, I can see that many of
these are .mpp files that have been deleted, or have been moved to different
folders, or where the folder name has been changed. Hence it appears I have
numerous duplicate, dead, and orphaned projects that are artificially
increasing the number of hours assigned to each resource.
How do I get Project to ignore the deleted, orphaned, and duplicate .mpp
files?
