Grouping by Task Name

We use a standard naming convention for the detail activities in each
of our projects. Using a master project, I am attempting to group all
tasks with a common name (filtered on a resource).

What I cannot figure out is how do I allow the task name field to be
reduced w/o truncating the group label. This works when I use another
field such as location, but not for task name. Any suggestions?
