Handle minutes

Bruco

Hi to everyone,
is it possible to handle minutes in projects, also for start and finish of
task ? How ?
Thanks,

Hi Bruco,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Tools/Options.../View tab - select a date format that shows times. You can
then enter dates and times. However, I hope you're not trying to enter
these in task start and finish dates - let Project sort out the dates from
your input of Durations and the logic precedence links. Otherwise, you will
set constraints that will reduce the flexibility of your project.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on:)

Mike told you how but think about it for a minute <g>. Activities are work
performed by humans - can you really plan for someone to do something
starting a week next Tuesday at 10:17 and finishing Wednesday at 14:32?
Humans just aren't that precise. The general rule of thumb is task
durations of less than about 8 hours indicate excessive micromanagment.
Unless you're scheduling something like Space Shuttle rendezvous you run the
danger of losing the overall project objectives in the mass of detail,
planning for a precision you'll never hit anyway.
