Have Powerpoint Transitions improved in 2003?

I'm running PowerPoint 2000 and do not like the slide transitions or inability to have multiple master slides. I'm thinking about s\upgrading to the 2003 edition. Have these thing improved in the latest edition - is the upgrade worth it?

Yes, you can have multiple master slides in PowerPoint 2002 and 2003. You
also get new transition and animation styles.
