Having problems with printing as abooklet.

I'm having a massive problem with my copy of Publisher. When I go to print
preview, the pages appear in the wrong order, some pictures on the wrong
pages. This might be because it is set on landscape booklet (half A4 per
page), but that doesn't explain why it is malfunctioning. I also printed out
a test copy, and there was exactly the same problem with the printed version.
Please help, my History project is due in tomorrow!

Print a copy of your booklet and assemble and fold. I believe you will find
it to be correct.

If you have selected the booklet in file, page setup, all should be well. If you are
manually trying to construct a booklet with more than four pages you will experience
the problems you are having.
Use the page setup...

There are no known issues whatsoever with the Booklet option and never have
been.
I would suggest <shock horror> you have an issue with the setup. Check the
options under Page Setup.

Pictures and things cannot move from one page to another or any weird things
like that.
Landscape Booklet is correct, and gives you half A4 page which is A5. Your
booklet should be multiples of 4 pages, which is 1 A4 double sided, in half
= 4 x A5.

Don't hesitate to post back - if I am not here, my personal and highly
esteemed PA Lady Mary Sauer will reply.

Wow, David, I may swoon...
How are you? When are you going to refresh your web pages?

Mary, pity your salary is so damn high. Perhaps we can negotiate a
reduction with increased hours!!!

My website <sigh> I did do some updates recently, and now I am busy re-doing
the whole website. I only just chucked it together originally quickly for
one little subject, and it grew haphazardly. I have another temporary
website on my other server, and need to marry them altogether. Sure takes
time. I really need to get out of this work thing and have more time and
pleasure. I must learn to say *NO NO NO NO NO NO NO* to work.

I must say, you are looking younger every day. How do you do it?
Something must be going right in your life.

You need to assemble the publication in booklet form.

The second page to print needs to go on the rear of the first page to print;
the fourth on the third, etc.
You can either stick the pages back-to-back, or you can use a photocopier,
or you can reprint, making sure to turn over page 1 and reinsert before page
2 prints (it is normally easiest to keep only one sheet of paper in the
printer at a time for this)

When you get the URL let us know... There was a post here the other day about making
calendars in Spanish as Publisher 97 could do (actually Publisher 97 had the option
of doing 11 different languages). Strange how some of these nifty options were
eliminated.
I've been retired for so long... I am getting to the age where it is a crap-shoot to
buy green bananas...
Must be autumn down under, we are creeping slowly to spring. Snowing this morning,
but the crocus have bloomed.

Mary I still use Publisher 97 at times. For certain jobs it still beats the
hell out of everything else.
Publisher 97 is so quick and functional, with probably the best interface
designed for a software program.
MS lost the plot so badly after Publisher 97, and while I do like many of
the features in Pub2003, the interface and speed of useability is hopeless.
I find it hard to understand how they can go from the best possible
interface, to the disaster of Publisher 2003. If MS say the did a
useability test on Publisher 2003, I can assure you they used cockroaches
for the testing.

Mary how come you have retired at '22 and a bit' years of age?
Did you have a large lottery win?
How is your old man?

Hey everyone,

Sorry I took so long to reply. I've been really busy. I tried adding enough
extra pages to make it a multiple of four, but I still have the same problem.
Here's my Print Preveiw screen:

(NB: copy and paste into your browser, if you don't know already. I'm
guessing you do, but just in case...)

This problem occurs when printing as well, but on normal view it looks fine.

Btw I'm 14. Why do you ask?

Now, if you print that in the proper manner and fold it up, then you will
get the pages in the right order in booklet format
