Header/footer in publisher2007beta

I have made a document in pub2007. It has 25 pages with about 300 small
pictures from clip art and from the web. Each page is A4 landscape, has
margins L. T & B 1cm, R 2cm and has 4 columns and 3 rows. It is saved as a
Publisher2000 document.

After making this I tried to insert a footer. The view menu does not show
the header/footer option- not greyed out, just missing.

I made a new blank document; headers/footers command showing and works fine.
I tried to duplicate original document- layout format, import pictures, save
as pub.2000. Header footer still works fine. Retried original document- no
header/footer.
Help!
Thanks, JG

Publisher 2000 does not support headers & footers. It isn't an option in 2000.
If you select "insert page number" that is where Publisher 2000's equivalent of
headers & footers comes in. This is on the Background (ctrl+m). Did you type
anything into the header/footer in 2007? I am able to see what I typed when I
open the 2000 document but they are on the background.

Thanks for the reply but I am still puzzled.
Even when working on this document in Pub.2007 I cannot get headers/footers
on the View menu, nor can I get 'page number' on the INSERT menu- I can still
get an insert date option!
These all work when I make new documents, just not on the doc. I have
already worked on.

On the File menu, do you see "Convert to Web Publication" or "Convert to
Print Publication"?
