header help in office 97

marissa

I know that it is possible to hide a header on the first and last pages of a
document; however, I am wondering whether I can hide the header on certain
pages within the document. Also, is there some way that I can switch between
two different headers? I will be eternally grateful for any help

Hi, marissa,

Headers and footers in Word are configurable by section. Use section breaks
to create a section with headers or to create a section without headers.
You may have to mess with the numbering a bit if you are using numbering and
want it to continue after your non-header page.

To switch between two different ones, if you're talking about odd/even
pages, that feature is built into Word. Use F1 Help and search for "header"
to get great information on how to use headers in Word 97. If you're
talking about switching arbitrarily, again, use section breaks
