Header Time Stamp changes

When I highlight a header in my inbox, the timestamp changes approximately by one minute. This causes my inbox messages to re-order according to the timestamp. Not a major deal, but annoying. This all started when we changed e-mail servers. From a Unix based UW IMAP system to a Novell Net Mail system

I use “Internet mail only†with an IMAP account

Any help would be appreciated
