Headers with different pages

I am updating our local amateur radio society's web page, www.gars.org.uk
and what I would like to do is to leave the header up on the page all the
time and just replace the text or pictures when I press the appropriate
link.
I've looked and looked and can't find how to do it so have I'm having to
reload the header everytime, can anyone help please.
Hope you know what I mean

Have you considered using FP Include pages?

Create a separate file for the header and then use Insert, Web Component,
Include Page on all your other pages to include the header. Then you only
need to make an update to the one page and all pages will update.
