How can I put a header on every page EXCEPT the first
page - can not find the option like I used on the footer
auto page number (which easily allows you to not place
the page number on the first page by clicking d' box)?

Gotta believe you were using Word... There never was a used to be able to do what you
were doing in Publisher. Are you using Publisher now?

Add the header to all pages, then on Page 1, either go to View > Ignore
Master or cover the header up with a white rectangle.
