HELP!: Can I force RED Category Items, to ALWAYS stay at top of Inbox

In an effort to keep organized, I would like to be able to make anythin
I mark in the "RED" category, always default to the top.

Preferrably I would like to be able to do this, regardless of whateve
the search results are, or if I simply click on a tab to sort something
it would keep my red categories at the top, so that they are alway
visible, as a reminder to complete that category item or task.

I've looked everywhere, and can't seem to find a specific answer t
this, other then some generic category sorting that seems to sku m
inbox from its normal "sort by received - descending" default order.

Any suggestions? Also, are there any add-in's that may help accomplis
this or similar

I'm on 32bit Win 7 Ultimate w/ Office 2010 RTM

I'm not aware of any addins that can do this. You can group by
categories then sort by date within each category group but you can't
group by Red category and then all others as one group. If you only use
Red category on mail, you can get it to sort to the top, but you can't
control the order as well if you use other categories.

A search folder in the Favorites list might be better - 1 click and
you're in it.

I typically only use the Red Category, what would be the best way t
accomplish this then?
Is it possible to setup another PST or ODF and have all red categor
items automatically moved to that PST/ODF? Then from there, someho
configure the inbox to display two "accounts" or "mailboxes", and the
force the RED inbox to always be the first displayed

No, 2 pst won't work. I believe catherized was suggesting this (i use
outlook 2007 for the screenshot, but it will work in 2010 too):

I created the view using Group by categories, descending. Everythin
else was the same. You can collapse the group to view the rest of you
mail. However, I'd probably just use the default view and make a searc
folder for Red category then put it on the Favorites list - and get i
the habit of not marking the Red message read so the Red search folde
is always bold with a message count. This, along with Conditiona
formatting to futher highlight the messages, might be enough for me.
