HELP!!!! How can I recover a previously saved version

I built a power point presentation and saved it.

I then went in to shorten it and deleted a bunch of slides then I stupidly
clicked save, but I meant to "SAVE AS" another name so my original would stay
in tack.

Does anyone know how I can recover the previously saved version, I need my
20+slides back that I deleted!

Please HELP!!!! I'm Freaking OUT!!!

If the file is still open, you can click on Undo repeatedly to undo the
deletion of the slides. If you closed the file, you're out of luck
unless you have a recent backup.

Nope, "SAVING" blows away the "Undo". Backup copy or hardrive recovery
site is the only out now.

Several posters have mentioned that a backup is necessary to retrieve your
lost presentation. The backup may not have to be one you made yourself. I'm
not familiar with PowerPoint but if it can be set to automatically save
backup copies (like every ten minutes) you could look for one of those. HTH
