Help, I can't ink in oneNote

I just got a tablet PC from work. When I try to write (ink) in oneNote
(Office 2007), I get an error that says "! OneNote requires Microsoft
Windows Tablet PC Edition 2005 with Service Pack 2 in order for inking
features to work properly. You can install Service Pack 2 from teh
Windows product pages on the Microsoft Website."
The problem is, this computer DOES have Windows Tablet PC edition 2005
and I have downloaded the service pack 2. When I go to microsoft
update, it says I have nothing to update.
I have gone to our IT guy and he couldn't figure it out.
Has anyone encountered this before? Any suggestions?

Okay, first things first - can you ink in other applications, such as
Journal?

And, when you go to windows Explorer/Help/About Windows does it show that
service pack 2 is installed?

Finally, have you rebooted the tablet (not just went into standby/hibernate)
since trying to install the service pack?

Yes, I can ink in other operations (Journal). When I go to My Computer,
View System Information--it says I am using Microsoft Windows XP Tablet
PC Edition 2005 Version 2002 Service Pack 2. When I go to Windows
explorer/help/about windows, it says I do have the service pack 2
installed. I have also restarted the computer several times. And I
have uninstalled Office and reinstalled a different copy of Office.
Still have the same problem...cant ink in onenote.

Have you or anyone else been able to resolve it.
