Help in Word 2003

I'm going crazy with the bells and whistles in the Word 2003 "help" system.
How can I get back to the sensible and usable traditional help windows? (You
know, the one that lists "contents" and even "answer wizard"?)

You're not the only one who's complaining about the help interface -- it's
been a hot topic among the MVPs since 2003 was in beta test. Basically, the
"usable traditional help" no longer exists in any recognizable form. There
is no index at all.

To get a contents list, open the Help task pane with F1 and look in the top
section (Assistance) for the blue link to Table of Contents.

The answer wizard is now the box in the right end of Word's menu bar that
says "Type a question for help" which is equivalent to the Search box in the
task pane or the box in the Office Assistant's balloon.
