Help Me Stop Moving Pictures?

Putting together a document with 10-20 .jpg pictures. I used advanced
layout, top and bottom, absolute position relative to page and locked. I get
them positioned and then cut text or insert page breaks and they fly all over
the place. I can't keep track of them and sure don't understand how it
works. I have three lined up perfectly they way I want them and then
inserted a page break at a hard return underneath them and they all flew away
to two other pages. It is almost like little folks from Middle Earth are
fooling with me.

Anyone offer guidence or point me to a how to document on this problem?
Thank you.

First, make sure you have 'Allow overlap' checked. Otherwise the objects
tend to move relative to each other.

Second, try to lock the anchors to a known reference point -- if there's a
heading at the top of the page and you know it's going to stay there, lock
the graphics to that.

One trick that has worked for me is to paste the images in Table cells.

They might split across a page break, but otherwise they are pretty steady.
And if the Table borders ae blank, it looks a lot like an ordinary page.

It also may help to Format - Picture - Layout - Square for each image.
