HELP - Need to target surgeons by product

S

Surgical Rep

I'm looking for a template to help me organize my medical device sales calls.
I have roughly 75 surgeons and would like to be able to first designate
which products apply to each surgeon, and then track progress in introduction
and follow up with those specific products and surgeons.

Any suggestions?

I did do a search there, but couldn't find anything that looked sufficient.
Any other ideas?

Use the contact management datbase template in Access.
File/New....
Select from Template
On my computer
Pull the database tab.

This template is also available under the templates URL listed in an earlier
post

I won't be able to use Project with software capabilites of my other
associates, but Access is a definite possibility.

I searched several access database templates, but none seemed to be what I
was looking for.

More specifically, I need a way to:

1. Create a list of doctors w/ all the standard contact info
2. Create a list of products that my company offers
3. Assign each physician certain products from the list to target
4. Track progress of sales calls on individual products w/ targeted physicians
5. Assign other employees certain products or physicians to handle
6. Update database via email when necessary

Is this asking too much from something that might already be available? --
or will I need to completely create something from scratch? If so, what
resources are available to help me with that feat?

I'm using Access 2007 and pulled up the contact manager database. Doesn't
come close to the detail I'm trying to find. See my response to JoAnne
Paules for more info...

Thanks!

I wish I could help you but I am struggling to learn Access right now. I
have a killer spreadsheet that really needs to be in Access - and I know
very, very little about the program. I think you're going to have to look at
existing templates and see what, if anything, you can modify to suit your
needs.

"Template" means starting point. If you are unable to modify a template to
meet your needs, consider hiring a professional to do it for you. There are
plenty that would jump at this opportunity.... see www.guru.com

I think you're asking too much from a basic template. Templates are just a
starting point.

You might want to check into software like Act! or something -- I suspect it
will do what you want. If not, surely there are other sales / call managment
software packages around. That's really what you need.

Or, if you're not expert with Access yourself, you could hire someone to
build something like this in Access for you.
